People experience depression in some or the other stage of life. But its effect is different for different people. It may lead to low self-esteem, negative mindset and so cannot utilize their full potential. A depressed person generally feels sad, down, or has no interest left. It is very different from mood fluctuations one normally feels in their day to day life. It is an ongoing problem, not a passing one.

  • Sleeping too much or too little

  • Unexplained pains or aches
  • Critical self-talk and non-stop internal dialogue
  • Sense of being cornered

Treatment:

Depression is treatable. Firstly the behaviors are understood by calling people with whom they live or to whom they are close. Family counseling is done so that they learn to support the person suffering from depression. then one to one sessions are taken and with the help of psychotherapy and cognitive behavioral therapy and also by being external support the person is brought out of depression and is build strong enough to face strongly whatever comes in life and not go in the same mode.
